Ejendals

Streamlined invoicing with Pagero

At almost the same time as Sven Miller began his role as head of accounting at Ejendals, the company changed its financial system. Ejendals decided to complement the new financial system with Pagero’s solution for outbound invoices.

“Before the implementation, we used to print out nearly all the invoices ourselves, which was unnecessarily time-consuming as it tied up a great many resources,” says Sven Miller. “I thought that we needed a better way to send invoices and so we decided to go with Pagero. Sending invoices by post felt outdated and was staff-intensive so we went for a different solution, which has worked well since then.”

“The introduction of Pagero was successful. Transferring the invoices for distribution through Pagero worked from the start. It is a relativity easy system to use.”

“It is much simpler to send invoices now and cheaper too, as we do not have to deal with the manual work.”

Improvements with Pagero’s services

“We have been following up on our invoicing since 2015 and, after we began producing statistics, we have sent an average of 200,000 invoices a year within our Swedish company alone. When we started following up, 70% of our invoices were paper-based. In 2017, this figure was down to 20% and the total number of invoices has increased with 10%. During these years, we have put a great effort into converting our paper-based invoices into e-invoices and this has resulted in considerable savings for us.”

“These figures are only based on our Swedish operations. However, we are also using Pagero for our companies in Finland and Norway and we can see improvements there as well. It is much simpler to send invoices now and cheaper too, as we do not have to deal with the manual work.”

“Another aspect of the manual routines is that you need to have people available, whereas with Pagero the entire process is automated. All we have to do is to monitor the process.”

Advantages of reduced paper-based invoicing

According to Sven Miller, reducing the amount of paper invoices brings numerous advantages. “We not only save time and money, but e-invoices solve other issues that can arise with paper invoices. There is always a risk of them not reaching their destination for various reasons and it therefore feels safer to send them as e-invoices.”

“Another aspect of the manual routines is that you need to have people available, whereas with Pagero the entire process is automated. All we have to do is to monitor the process. Pagero has also made it easier to distribute to foreign suppliers. This is important to us as we send large numbers of invoices abroad.”
