PEPPOL – the future of e-invoicing in Europe
PEPPOL is widely deployed in Europe with more than 113 000 public entities served by 184 certified Access Points. More than seven million electronic bills and documents are exchanged each month on the network PEPPOL eDelivery.
Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Sweden and Ireland have chosen PEPPOL. Germany joined PEPPOL recently, and the next steps will be to set up the German PEPPOL Authority and map the XRechnung CIUS into a German rule set to be included in the PEPPOL BIS Billing 3.0 CIUS. Beyond the borders of Europe, Singapore has also joined OpenPEPPOL and established a PEPPOL Authority aiming at rolling out PEPPOL in late 2018.
