Australia mandates e-invoicing for Commonwealth entities
The Commonwealth Government is mandating electronic invoices by default for all non-corporate Commonwealth entities (NCEs), aiming for 30% adoption by July 2026 and automated processing by December 2026.

Australian government announces funds to enhance e-invoicing
The Australian government is committed to investing in e-invoicing. The funding is part of the AUD 67.5 million (ca. EUR 41.5 million) Fighting Scams package announced in the Federal budget and marks the next phase in combating cybercriminals.
