Romania is taking a big step forward as the new e-invoicing law will go into effect in January 2024. This legislation includes mostly VAT and other tax-related matters, but most importantly, it makes it obligatory to issue and receive electronic invoices.
The upcoming mandate will be all-encompassing and requiring all invoices to be issued and received through the RO e-factura platform. Taxpayers must also issue those invoices in the RO_CIUS format, compliant with the EN 16931 standards.
In this webinar Pagero and our guest speakers from Deloitte RO, delve into the latest updates about the countrywide e-invoicing system (RO e-Factura) and the mandate requirements, to provide some insight on how they impact the future of invoicing.
