Quick questions for an Application Consultant
Meet Nadine, an Application Consultant working at Pagero since early 2023. In her role, she assists customers in maximising the potential of Pagero's applications, ensuring efficient operations. While primarily working with customers in the Nordic countries, Nadine eagerly embraces Pagero’s international culture whenever the opportunity arises.
Do you have any hobbies that you are passionate about in your free time?
That’s a tough one to answer briefly! I lived in China during Covid, so I started growing plants during the lockdown. Does that count? I also play football and enjoy hosting events for family and friends. Other than that, I grew up in Sweden in a Lebanese family. For that reason, I enjoy exploring other cultures and perspectives, including travelling and similar experiences.
What motivates you most in your work?
I really appreciate the work culture and openness at Pagero. When I began working here in early 2023, I participated in Pagero Academy, an onboarding event for new employees. Everyone, including management, takes part in this program and I think that sets the tone for inclusivity in a really good way. So yes, the culture is a big part, and I also enjoy the problem-solving that comes with the job.
Can you think of one specific event/case at work that stands out to you?
I mostly work with Nordic customers, but I have also been part of international projects. In one such project, I had the opportunity to collaborate with teams from Australia, London, and Singapore. Initially, it felt quite overwhelming, but I learned a tremendous amount during that experience. I was also able to bring back the processes they used and implement them within the team I work with here.

Why did you decide to work at Pagero?
The international focus, core values, and overarching goal are significant factors that led me to Pagero. The company's customer-centric approach to simplifying processes for our customers is something I greatly admire. It’s just appealing to be part of an organisation that prioritises customer needs and creates benefits for them.
What's the best thing about Pagero and working here?
I feel that I am part of the decision-making process and can influence my work. There is encouragement to think outside the box, and I'm not restricted to doing the same thing every day. Also, for anyone with an ambition to grow, there are plenty of opportunities to do so.
What would you consider the most awesome tech invention from the last century?
I would say the smartphone paired with social media, because it removes borders for us. In the past, calling my grandmother in Lebanon was quite expensive, but now I can easily reach her through social media.
