E-invoicing to become mandatory in Malaysia

Malaysia is taking the next big leap in its digital transformation. Starting August 2024, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) will gradually introduce country-wide mandatory electronic invoicing in Malaysia that will cover B2G, B2B and B2C transactions. The Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), as an established Peppol Authority, will gradually introduce Peppol e-invoicing for all businesses in the country from August 2024 to July 2025, in alignment with LHDN's rollout. Businesses are now being prompted to evaluate their current systems and processes to identify gaps in their readiness for compliant e-invoicing. As a Peppol-certified e-invoicing provider, Pagero enables multinationals and small businesses alike to confidently comply with LHDN's requirements.
