Ghana plans full implementation of fiscal electronic device legislation
Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced plans to fully implement and enforce the use of fiscal electronic devices (EFDs) in 2026 — a move designed to strengthen tax compliance across the country.
Ghana proceeds with the second phase of the Electronic VAT Invoicing System
Ghana has launched the second phase of the Electronic VAT Invoicing System. For this phase, 2000 VAT-registered taxpayers will be onboarded to issue electronic VAT invoices.
Ghana continues the VAT e-invoicing system roll-out
To facilitate the ongoing roll-out of the VAT e-invoicing system, Ghana’s Revenue Authority (GRA) published a list of businesses invited to perform the onboarding. By June 2024, 600 VAT-registered taxpayers should be onboarded on the system to issue electronic VAT invoices.
